Key project info

The problem needing to be solved

Mister Timbuktu is a social enterprise that's creating a new standard of sustainability within fashion. By recycling plastics into fabrics it's reducing it's negative environmental impact and further offsets this by donating 20% of profits to people and planet based charities.

However Mister Timbuktu needs to scale and commercialise in order to remain a financially viable business otherwise further impact will not be able to be made. We're looking for industry experts within business development and strategy or experienced marketing gurus to help develop the business, broadening its reach and increasing the regularity of sales in order for the business to scale and ultimately recycled half a million bottles within the first five years of business.

Responsibilities of the online volunteering project

  • Identify areas of weakness within the business
  • Develop strategy for scaling Mister Timbuktu
  • Review and plan implementation
  • Guidance and mentorship

The benefit to you, the volunteer

By helping to stabilise, commercialise and accelerate Mister Timbuktu's growth we'll be able to recycle more plastics saving them from where they don't belong (eg oceans and landfill) and begin the conversation about creating more sustainable supply chains in the fashion industry.
