IT Review and Recommendations

This Project's Impact

You will be helping to make sure a small charity like ours, with limited resources and literally no in-house IT expertise, can devise and implement effective, efficient and safe IT procedures on the best platforms. This will allow us to focus on what we do best - connecting people to nature for the health of the individual, our society and our planet: One Planet, Our Health.

Key project info

The problem needing to be solved

We are constantly finding ourselves in a reactionary position when it comes to our IT needs. Help us get on the front foot by reviewing our existing IT - software and hardware - and advising us on affordable, easy to manage/maintain improvements that will allow us to keep doing what we do best.

Responsibilities of the online volunteering project

Desired outcomes:

IT hardware and software are compatible and as future-proofed as possible

Educate staff around:

  • best use of software and platforms, including DropBox, eWay online payments, Microsoft Office 365
  • data storage policies and procedures
  • platform/device compatibilities and capabilities
  • cost effective IT needs

The benefit to you, the volunteer

If you can help us navigate and cross-check our current system, processes and needs, we would be forever grateful.

But wait, there's more! Not only would you be able to bathe in the warm, glowing gratitude of two IT dunderheads (that's us), you would also be helping us to focus on what we're really here to achieve - planning, resourcing and delivering transformative projects that connect people to nature, conservation and the world away from our screens for the health and wellbeing of people, places and planet.

Tools required

We use Macs - MacBook Air x 2 and iMac x 1
